photoCamp Granbrook is our day camp for children who are at least 5 years old and have completed kindergarten, through age 12 and entering 6th grade. This year Camp Granbrook will have a home base of Allgrove School for 4-days (outdoors most of the day) and 1 day at Granbrook Park.

If your child will be entering Kindergarten in Fall 2025, please see our Mini Adventurer Camp, which is designed especially for our preschool friends.

Daily activities at Camp Granbrook include arts and crafts, sports, games, music, special guests, and field trips!

2025 Themes Weeks:

June 23 - June 27
Week 1 - Superheroes Everywhere:
Are you a superhero or an evil villain? Explore the world of superheroes! This week isn't always about costumes and comic books though, it's also about recognizing the heroes in our everyday lives.

June 30 - July 3 (Four day camp)
Week 2 - Adventure Week & Mission Impossible: Campers will jump into an amazing and enchanting week of adventure! Campers will have the opportunity to try new things and go on both on-site and off-site adventures. No mission is too hard for us to complete!

July 7 - July 11
Week 3 - The Wonderful World of Sportsis one of our favorites and is jam packed with exciting activities and games. This is a week of friendly fun-filled competition. Bring your team spirit and get ready to play! If your child likes to play, have fun and engage in friendly competition then this is the week for them! Days will be chock full of sports games, board games, and friendly tournaments. No athletic or game experience is necessary.

July 14 - July 18
Week 4 - Water, Water Everywhere Week: Dive right into summer with your friends and be prepared to get wet with lots of fun water games! This week is all about having fun, getting wet, and staying cool through it all.

July 21 - July 25
Week 5 - Wacky Week:  You may have heard of Wacky Wednesdays but what about Manic Monday and Tasty Tuesday? Each day of Wacky Week will be a little different and outside the box. Bring your personality and willingness to be silly. The week will end with Fiesta Friday!

July 28 -  August 1
Week 6 - Detective Challenge: Uncovering clues is a lot of fun, we’re sure you’ll agree.  It’ll take the most determined detectives to solve the clues and claim the prize before the timer runs out!  Working to solve the mystery will enhance your summer camp kids’ teamwork skills as well as putting on their thinking caps.

August 4 - August 8
Week 7 - Out of this World:  3, 2, 1….Blast off! Join us for a week of out-of-this-world projects, games and experiments. From our nearest neighboring planets to the sun, moon and stars, we will make like a comet and soar through our solar system to learn all the we can about space.

All children are grouped by age/grade and all activities are age-appropriate. Camp is held in one-week sessions to better meet you and your child(ren)'s needs. The cost per week is $239 per week for East Granby residents and $249 for non-residents. If you are registering two or more children per week, there is a $10 discount per child, for the full day program.

The camp day begins at 8:00 am each day and ends at 3:30 pm. Camp this summer will be held at Allgrove School (mostly outdoors) and 1 day a week at Granbrook Park.  For Summer 2025 we will not be offering extended care.

FAQs:
What if my child doesn't want to go for a full day?
For our campers who may not want a full-day experience, we offer a half day option that runs 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The cost is $139 for residents and $149 for non-residents. There is no sibling discount for the 1/2 day option.

Is lunch included?
Each week, we offer the opportunity to order lunch from pre-determined local restaurants, for an additional cost. Instructions re: ordering lunch are included in each week's Welcome Email sent to caregivers in advance. There is an on-site snack shack that campers are able to purchase snack items from each day. Campers are, of course, welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks in a paper bag or soft lunch box, and refrigeration is available.

Camp Granbrook Summer 2025 Lunch Options: Coming Soon.

What happens if it rains?
Camp is held rain or shine and we are outdoors and enjoying Mother Nature!  Campers should always come prepared with rain gear. In the event of thunder storms or other severe weather, campers are moved indoors.

What does my child need to bring?
Campers should come prepared for an outdoor day camp adventure. This means, they'll need sunscreen and bug spray applied before they arrive, and have a change of clothes, a hat, sweatshirt, rain coat, towel, and lots of water in their backpack. Closed toe shoes are required, please no Crocs, flip flops, or sandals. You will be notified in advance if a bathing suit is needed on a particular day.

How late can I register my child?
We love to see as many smiling faces each week as possible, but late sign ups make it difficult for our staff to plan activities, to make sure we have enough supplies for craft projects and special events, and to also adequately plan for tickets and transportation for field trips.

Registration closes for the upcoming week on Thursday at noon, or when the week fills. To avoid disappointment and frustration, please remember to register early!
