The program is for children who have reached their 3rd birthday by the start of camp, through those who are 5 but not yet in kindergarten.  All participants must be toilet trained.

Schedule:

All weeks of camp are held 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, in the Recreation Building at East Granby Farms (79 North Main Street, East Granby).

If your camper is entering Kindergarten in the Fall we have a fun filled extension program known as Kindergarten Extension (see details below).

2026 Theme Weeks:

Week 1: (June 29 - July 3, 2026) Aloha Summer!
Get ready to say “Aloha!” as we travel to a tropical paradise full of sunshine, smiles, and island fun. Campers will explore Hawaiian-inspired activities like beach-themed crafts, colorful leis, lively music and movement, and playful games that celebrate the spirit of summer. Along the way, children will practice kindness, sharing, and friendship, just like the Hawaiian idea of ohana (family). With plenty of hands-on fun, imagination, and laughter, this week is all about feeling the warm summer vibes together!

Week 2: (July 6 - July 10, 2026) Superhero Training Academy
Unleash the superhero within! Campers will train to discover their unique superpowers through obstacle courses, team missions, and creative superhero crafts (designing capes, masks, and badges). Special visits from real-life Community Heroes will inspire campers to use their powers for kindness, courage, and helping others. Along the way, children will practice teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence, building friendships while saving the day in a week full of action, imagination, and fun!

Week 3: (July 13 – July 17, 2026) Pirates and Mermaids
Ahoy, young adventurers! Join us for a week of swashbuckling pirates and mystical mermaids. Campers will dive into treasure hunts, make their own pirate hats and mermaid tails, craft magical ocean-themed art, and act out their own sea adventures. Along the way, they’ll practice teamwork, problem-solving, and empathy, building friendships while exploring. Let imaginations set sail in a week where pirates and mermaids come together for creativity, friendship, and unforgettable memories!

Week 4: (July 20 - July 24, 2026) Where the Wild Things Are
This imaginative, nature-focused week is inspired by Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. Campers will let their imaginations run wild during a playful Wild Rumpus, filled with stomping, roaring, dancing, and creative movement. Through music, art, storytelling, and adventurous play, children will explore big feelings, self-expression, and cooperation, while building confidence and friendships in a week full of wild creativity.

Week 5: (July 27 – July 31, 2026) Color Me Happy
Dive into a rainbow of fun! Campers will explore the magic of colors through hands-on art, vibrant crafts, and playful activities that bring every shade to life. From mixing paints and creating colorful masterpieces to discovering how colors appear in nature and everyday life, children will learn to express themselves and celebrate creativity. Along the way, they’ll practice cooperation, mindfulness, and joy in discovery, making this week a bright, happy adventure full of imagination and friendship.

Week 6: (August 3 - August 7, 2026) Under the Big Top
Step right up for a week of circus fun and wonder! Campers will explore the magic of the big top with colorful crafts, silly clown games, juggling and movement activities, and imaginative play that brings the circus to life. Little performers will laugh, create, and discover new skills while learning about teamwork, courage, and friendship just like real circus stars. It’s a week full of excitement, surprises, and BIG fun!

Week 7: (August 10 - 14, 2026) Seashells & Sunbeams
Campers will soak up the sunshine as they explore the magic of the beach and ocean! Through hands-on crafts, sensory play, music, and movement, children will discover seashells, sea creatures, sand, and sunshine. Along the way, they’ll practice cooperation, curiosity, and kindness while engaging in imaginative play. This week is filled with splashing fun, creative projects, and happy summer memories by the sea!

What your child needs to bring:
Mini Adventurers should bring a snack and a water bottle each day, along with a full change of clothes and a towel. Closed toe shoes (sneakers) are required for safety, and hats/sunglasses are helpful during outdoor activities.

If you would like your child to wear sunscreen or bug spray, please apply it before they arrive at camp.

You will receive a welcome email the week before camp with theme specific needs - plan to have your child wear their bathing suit under their clothes on water days.

Kindergarten Extension
(Open to those attending Kindergarten in Fall 2026)

Prepare your soon-to-be kindergartener for a successful start to their school journey with our Kindergarten Extension Program!

This is an optional extension to camp that will run from 12:00 - 2:00 pm each day and is available only to campers who will be starting kindergarten in Fall 2026.  Kindergarten Extension will be offered for 3 weeks this summer:  July 27 - July 31, August 3 - August 7 & August 10 - 14, 2026.

Join us for a fun and educational experience that sets the stage for a confident and enthusiastic entry into the world of kindergarten!

Pack a snack and lunch, and prepare to drop your campers off at 9:00 am, and pick them up at 2:00 pm.  Drop-off in the morning is at the Recreation Building at EG Farms and pick-up in the afternoon will be at the Sears House at EG Farms (white building on your left when you enter the park).
