Calling all middle school/high school students who love basketball. Join us for a drop-in afternoon program to brush up on your skills or just get out and have some fun. This program will run Tuesday afternoons from 2:15 - 3:45pm at the High School New Gym.  This is a free drop-in program for all East Granby residents in grades 6-12.  Come and practice your skills.  There is not a structured program and hoops are open and available to all.  The is no cost for the program but anyone staying must pre-register and a parent/guardian must sign the on-line waiver before a student can participate.  This co-ed program will run Tuesdays, May 5 - June 9, 2026 from 2:15pm - 3:45pm and is open to East Granby Students Only.  Students must stay in the gym and be actively playing on the court.  There is a late bus and if a student needs to take the bus they must let the on-site program monitor know when they check-in.Any chances with dates/times will be communicated with those registered via text to a parent/guardian.

Learn to Golf Group Lessons This 4-week instructional program will adequately prepare you to successfully tackle the golf course in 2026 and beyond. We will cover putting, chipping, equipment, and full swing.  Clubs will be provided for your use if needed. Wear non-restrictive comfortable clothing and supportive athletic shoes. It is a high energy program introducing young children to fundamental soccer principles such as using your feet, dribbling, and basic rules of the game. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Please have the players come dressed to play and bring a water bottle. Camp Granbrook is East Granby Parks and Recreation day camp for children who are at least 5 years old and have completed kindergarten, through age 12 and entering 6th grade. For Summer 2026 Camp Granbrook will have a home base at East Granby Farms but will host a variety of field trips each week.  The majority of time at camp will be outside and enjoying the many different activities that East Granby Farms offers.If your child will be entering Kindergarten in Fall 2026, please see our Mini Adventurer Camp, which is designed especially for our preschool friends.Daily activities at Camp Granbrook include arts and crafts, sports, games, music, special guests, and field trips!Week 1 (June 29 – July 3, 2026): Islands of AdventureGrab your shades and kick off summer with an epic island adventure! Campers will dive into high-energy games, team challenges, and hands-on island fun. This week is all about action, teamwork, and launching summer with big fun and even bigger camp energy. Week 2 (July 6 – July 10, 2026): Superhero Boot CampCalling all heroes! Campers will create their own superhero identities and take on fast-paced challenges that test strength, strategy, and teamwork. With obstacle courses, team missions, and visits from real Community Heroes, this week is packed with action, adventure, and non stop hero fun. Week 3 (July 13 – July 17, 2026): ShipwreckedStranded at sea, campers will jump into treasure hunts, water challenges, and survival-style missions. From scavenger hunts to team adventures on land and water, this week is loaded with epic ocean challenges, problem-solving, and non stop excitement. Week 4 (July 20 – July 24, 2026): Into the WildStep outside and explore the wild! Campers will take on nature challenges, creative projects, and outdoor games that get them moving and thinking. This week is packed with adventure, exploration, and hands-on fun in the great outdoors. Week 5 (July 27 – July 31, 2026): Camp Color WarsPick a team and bring the color! Campers will dive into fast-paced games, creative challenges, and colorful competitions all week long. This high-energy week is packed with action, laughs, and non stop colorful fun. Week 6 (August 3 – August 7, 2026): Circus ShenanigansStep right up! Campers will jump into silly circus games, wacky carnival challenges, and team competitions full of laughs and action. This week is loaded with playful antics, high-energy fun, and non stop camp excitement. Week 7 (August 10 – August 14, 2026): Splash ZoneDive in and get soaked! Campers will tackle water games, beach challenges, and hands-on ocean adventures all week long. From splashy competitions to creative projects, this week is packed with sun, sand, and non stop water fun. All children are grouped by age/grade and all activities are age-appropriate. Camp is held in one-week sessions to better meet you and your child(ren)'s needs. The cost per week is $249 per week for East Granby residents and $259 for non-residents. If you are registering two or more children per week, there is a $10 discount per additional child, for the full day program only.  The camp day begins at 8:30 am each day and ends at 3:30 pm. Camp this summer will be held at East Granby Farms (mostly outdoors) and field trips off-site will leave from East Granby Farms.  For Summer 2026 we will be offering extended care daily from 7:30am - 8:30am and 3:30pm - 4:30pm at an additional cost of $10 an hour or any part of an hour.  Registration for extended day must be paid for online in advance of staying.  FAQs:What if my child doesn't want to go for a full day? For our campers who may not want a full-day experience, we offer a half day option that runs 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. The cost is $149 for residents and $159 for non-residents. There is no sibling discount for the 1/2 day option.Is lunch included?Each week, we offer the opportunity to order lunch from pre-determined local restaurants, for an additional cost. Instructions regarding ordering lunch are included in each week's Welcome Email sent to caregivers in advance.There is an on-site snack shack that campers are able to purchase snack items from each day. Closed toe shoes are required, please no Crocs, flip flops, or sandals. You will be notified in advance if a bathing suit is needed on a particular day.How late can I register my child?We love to see as many smiling faces each week as possible, but late sign ups make it difficult for our staff to plan activities, to make sure we have enough supplies for craft projects and special events, and to also adequately plan for tickets and transportation for field trips.  Registration closes for the upcoming week on Thursday at noon, or when the week fills. To avoid disappointment and frustration, please remember to register early!
