Grab your binoculars and join Connecticut naturalist and East Granby local Brian Kleinman for an unforgettable fall birding adventure! A passionate birder since the age of 10, Brian brings decades of experience and a deep love for our feathered friends.

Whether you’re brand new to birding or already hooked, this six-week series is your chance to explore the hidden birding gems of Hartford County. You’ll learn how to properly use binoculars, identify birds by sight and sound, and discover where to find the most exciting species as they pass through during late summer and fall.

We’ll stick close to home - but don’t let that fool you, the variety of birds in our own backyard might surprise you! How many species can we spot together? Come join the fun and find out!

Ages: This is an adult program; however, youth ages 12+ may attend with a paid adult participant.
Dates: Sundays, August 31 - October 5, 2025
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 am
Locations: The guide is currently finalizing the itinerary. All locations and details will be clearly communicated prior to the program’s start date. * You must be able to drive or carpool to each destination.
Cost: $150/person

What to bring
  • Binoculars (are a must)
  • Field Guide (optional)
  • Comfortable hiking boots and seasonally appropriate clothing
