EG Park & Recreation Danceathon/Cart-wheel-a-thon Pledge Sheet
Get ready to move and groove for a fantastic cause! Join April 27, 2025, us for a Danceathon/ Cart-wheel-a-thon featuring the wonderful Miss Cindy, our talented dance teacher, as we raise money for the new playscape at East Granby Farms! Expect music, snacks, and lots of fun surprises throughout the event. There will be something for everyone to enjoy, no matter what your age or skill level!
Event Highlights (join us for one event or both):
- Older Dancers:
Participate in the 5-hour Danceathon from 10:15 AM to 4:00 PM or challenge yourself with the Cartwheel-a-Thon – it’s a fun way to get active and make a difference! Bring your dance shoes, comfy cloths, and a water bottle. Pizza lunch and a treat will be served.This is a drop-off event where parents can watch from the back patio and cheer on their dancers!
- Cartwheel-a-Thon: challenge yourself with the Cartwheel-a-Thon – it’s a fun way to get active and make a difference! Kicks off at 10:00 AM, and participants will have 2 minutes to see how many cartwheels they can do! It’s a fun challenge to see who can cartwheel the most in that time – all for a great cause!
- Younger Dancers (Ages 5 and under):
We haven’t forgotten about the little ones! A shorter Dance Marathon/Party will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM to join in on the fun!
How It Works:
- Dancers will ask their parents, grandparents, family, friends, and others to sponsor them. Sponsors can donate either per hour of dancing or make a flat donation.
- Dancers will bring their donations to the event, where they’ll dance the day away to raise money for the new playscape.
- Prizes and fun surprises will be given throughout the day to keep everyone motivated and having a blast!
Everyone is welcome to participate! Whether you’re a dancer, a cartwheel enthusiast, or just love a good party, this event is for you!
