Our Acro classes are high-energy and skill-focused, blending the strength and agility of acrobatics with the grace and flow of dance. Each class begins with a warm-up, stretching, and conditioning to build flexibility, balance, and core strength - key components for safe and successful tumbling.
Students will work on age and level appropriate skills, ranging from basic movements like forward rolls, cartwheels, and splits in beginner classes, to more advanced tricks such as walkers, handsprings, and aerials as they progress. Classes are carefully structured to ensure safety and proper technique at every stage of development.
Beginner through intermediate levels are available. Please note: the Tuesday, 6:15 pm Acro 2 Class is by invitation only and is designed for students who have demonstrated the necessary skills to participate at that level.

About the Instructor
Cindy Williams is the director and sole choreographer of the East Granby Parks and Recreation Dance Program. She began teaching at the age of 17 and later opened her own studio in Springfield, MA, which she ran for 15 years. After closing the studio to welcome her fifth child, Cindy taught for 22 years at New England Dance & Gymnastics Centers in Granby, CT and Westfield, MA. In 2019, she launched the East Granby Parks & Rec program, quickly growing it from 35 to over 150 dancers.
Certified by Dance Educators of America, Cindy is dedicated to teaching strong technique in a fun, supportive environment. Her mission is to nurture not only skilled dancers, but kind, respectful individuals. Today, she continues to build a dance community rooted in confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of dance.
