Spring: Just for Fun ART-ventures

 Monsters and Mermaids Fantasy ART-ventures 

Pay no attention to that fire-breathing dragon! Armored in aprons and wielding paintbrushes, brave young art explorers’ journey into a fairytale kingdom, where fairies flit through rainbow skies and zany zombies roams the streets. Meet fantastical creatures, both spooky and sweet, while conjuring bedazzling art: Decorate wicked cool witch or wizard hats and sculpt clay witches on broomsticks! Design colorful ceramic skulls inspired by Dia De Los Muertos and paint unicorn or dragon banks. Craft monster t-shirts and create sparkling castles on canvas. Make hand puppet mermaids, vampires, fairies, werewolves, or any creature you can imagine. Build UFOs and sculpt clay aliens to fly them, construct haunted house boxes, and make metal robot art. Using some very magical potions and spells (i.e. materials and techniques), art-venturers experience painting, drawing, sculpting, stained glass, ceramics, fabric art, and more. Enchanting two- and three-dimensional masterpieces come home each week. Fun, fantasy-filled ART-ventures.

Thursdays:  April 3 - May 15, 2025 (no class April 17th)
(make-up class May 22, 2025) from 2:55PM - 4:30PM

East Granby Senior/ Community Center (20 Center Street)

Logistics
Seymour Students will be brought to Allgrove School via the school bus where Parks and Recreation staff will meet the students and walk them over to the Community Center. Allgrove Students will be met afterschool and walked over to the Community Center as well. A light snack will be provided, and pick-up will be at the East Granby Community Center.

Required Permission Slip
The forms linked below contain the permission slip that is required, by the EG School System, for your child to attend this program. Please choose the permission slip that correlates with the day your child is registered for and return the signed permission slip to eastgranbyrecreation@gmail.com no later than one week prior to the start of the program. Failure to submit a permission slip may forfeit your child's spot to a student on the waiting list.
