Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tumbling (Grades K-8)

Get ready to move, groove, and flip in these high energy combo classes! Designed for dancers who love to perform and express themselves, this class combines the latest jazz and hip-hop styles with beginner-friendly tumbling skills. Dancers will work on flexibility, strength, and coordination through warm-ups, stretching, across-the-floor movement, and dynamic jazz and hip-hop combinations. Basic tumbling skills are introduced and integrated into choreography, adding excitement and flair!

These classes are all about building confidence, encouraging individuality, and having a blast while learning solid technique. Multiple levels are offered to ensure dancers are appropriately challenged as they grow.

Completion of a full season at each level is required before advancing. Come bring your personality to the dance floor and tumble your way into fun!

About the Instructor

Cindy Williams is the director and sole choreographer of the East Granby Parks and Recreation Dance Program. She began teaching at the age of 17 and later opened her own studio in Springfield, MA, which she ran for 15 years. After closing the studio to welcome her fifth child, Cindy taught for 22 years at New England Dance & Gymnastics Centers in Granby, CT and Westfield, MA. In 2019, she launched the East Granby Parks & Rec program, quickly growing it from 35 to over 150 dancers.

Certified by Dance Educators of America, Cindy is dedicated to teaching strong technique in a fun, supportive environment. Her mission is to nurture not only skilled dancers, but kind, respectful individuals. Today, she continues to build a dance community rooted in confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of dance.
