NFL Flag Football is the premier youth football program for boys and girls. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in a non-contact, continuous action sport, while learning lessons in teamwork.
The Spring 2024 program begins the week of April 22, 2024, and runs until June 7, 2024 with the end of year tournament June 14 and 15, 2024.
East Granby Parks and Recreation offers three age groups:
Level 1 is for players age 6 - 8, Level 2 is for players age 9-11, and Level 3 is for players age 12-14. We will be playing other teams from Suffield and Granby.
The Age Determination Date for a player is the actual age of the child on January 1, 2024.
Assessments will be held to assist the coaches in creating teams. No experience is needed and all players are asked to attend the assessments. Assessments take place at East Granby Farms on the flag football field. Assessments will be approximately 45 minutes to an hour long so encourage those providing transportation to stay
Level 3 assessments will be held April 16, 2024 from 5:00 pm-5:30 pm
Level 2 assessments will be held April 16, 2024 from 5:30 pm- 6:00 pm
Level 1 assessments will be held April 16, 2024 from 6:00 pm- 6:30 pm
Practices for the Spring 2024 Season begin the week of April 22th and will occur 1-2 times/ week (day/time set by coaches). Practices will be held in East Granby (at East Granby Farms) and Suffield (at Cervione Park).
Games are played on Friday nights beginning Friday, April 26th staring at 4:30pm, and will commence with a tournament the weekend of June 15 - 16, 2024. All games will be held at Cervione Field (571 Copper Hill Rd., West Suffield)
