Little Thespians: Princesses, Knights, & Fire-Breathing Fun (Ages 5-7) Register View Cart

Join us for a magical acting clatheatress filled with imagination, laughter, and creative play as we explore the captivating world of princesses, knights, and dragons!

Each week, students will embark on fantastical adventures, building whimsical scenes inspired by some of the world’s most enchanting stories. Through engaging theater games, imaginative activities, and hands-on role-playing, enhanced by Melissa & Doug costumes and Magna-Tiles, kids will build essential acting skills. They’ll learn to express emotions, use body language effectively, listen actively, and collaborate to create unforgettable moments on stage.

Our professional instructors will guide young actors in discovering their unique voices, stretching their creative muscles, and unlocking confidence, all while having a blast!
Whether your child is a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, this class will ignite their passion for performance and culminate in a special Share Day for family and friends.

To top off the fun, we’ll draw inspiration from Dragons Love Tacos, with students embodying larger-than-life characters, expressing emotions, and creating dragon-sized stories, with a little taco-themed twist! Plus, every student will receive a copy of Dragons Love Tacos and celebrate with a special taco party to toast their creativity and accomplishments. No need for fiery salsa here, just loads of fun, learning, and teamwork!

About the instructor:
Meg Jabaily graduated from the University of Colorado with a BFA in Theatre Performance. She was a founding performer, director, teaching artist, and education/outreach director for Single Carrot Theatre in Baltimore, MD.

She loves play so much that she went on to earn her certificate in DIRFloortime play therapy, which is specifically designed for neurodiverse children but is wonderful for all children. Meg loves spaces that facilitate play and wellness, which inspired her to earn her Master's in Design for Human Health at the Boston Architectural College.

Her master's thesis was largely devoted to the built environment and its impact on children's development and sensory systems. Meg loves working with people of all ages and especially enjoys the humor and insight children bring to every interaction. She has two children, ages 10 and 13, and loves the magic they bring to the table each day. She believes that play of all kinds across the lifespan builds compassion, collaboration, and wellness. Being a part of Playhouse Theatre Academy is an honor, and she is thrilled to be working with and learning from both the other artists and students.
