Youth Fall Sport’s Training Bootcamp

While we may not want to think about fall sports, the upcoming new school year with all the craziness that goes along with it just yet, it is important to ensure our young athletes are ready to play their best and be resilient to the demands of training in their fall sports schedules. theTotalRunner is excited to offer this new program to prepare our aspiring athletes for a great fall season through building a strength foundation to improve their skills, prevent injuries and quickly enhance their overall fitness while building their confidence, not just in sport, but in their lives. While the summer is a time for young athletes to take a break both physically and mentally from the demands and rigors of their sports seasons (and their families too), generally there is a significant drop in fitness levels during this time, and the return to sports can be more difficult than it needs to be. When returning to sports in the fall, it is important to treat and train their growing bodies
appropriately.

This four-week program will start off with a basic level of physical fitness and reintroduce your athlete to the physical demands of increased physical activity while improving cardio-vascular fitness. Our activities will include strength and conditioning training, running activities, agility, and plyometric drills to improve their endurance, stamina, athleticism, and overall strength. We will utilize light weights and resistance band training as appropriate by age during some of our activities. In addition, age-appropriate games and activities will be performed to solidify training concepts. This open for students grade 6-12.

Group size is limited to 20 participants to ensure individualized coaching and skills development throughout the program. Registration for this program will close on July 6 th to ensure specific training needs for participants is included in program development. Each participant will receive their own resistance band kit for future training and custom water bottle. Program participants can also add on one-on-one training sessions based on their child’s sport, training, and scheduling needs. One on one sessions will be available at a discounted rate of $25 for one hour and up to four sessions can be added during the duration of the program.
