Calling all Allgrove and Seymour Students...
Have you ever explored nature and wanted some tips on how to draw all those beautiful things you saw outdoors?
We will be taking a walk in the woods exploring nature and learning how to draw some of the natural things we see while walking. Join Land Trust Program Director, Amanda Thompson, and Westfield State Art and Art Education Student, Allison Fiorentino on a Nature Sketch and Walk Adventure.
Each student will receive a sketch pad, drawing pencil and eraser to use and take home.
Allgrove Sketch and Walk will be after school on Oct. 13th. with a 4:15pm pick up at the Community Center. Rain Date Oct. 14th. Students will be released to Amanda Thompson directly from school. A permission slip is required and must be returned to the Parks and Recreation Office no later than 12:00pm (noon) on Tuesday, October 12th.
Seymour Sketch and Walk will be after school on October 20th. We will walk from Seymour School to Granbrook Park. A permission slip is required in order for Amanda Thompson to meet the student's at the end of the day and begin the program. Permission slips are due back to Parks and Recreation no later than Monday, October 19th. Pick up is at 4:15pm pick up at Granbrook Park. Rain Date Oct. 21st.
*Closed toed shoes, long pants and a long sleeve are suggested for comfort. Bug spray is highly recommended.
