Saturday, October 25, 2025
5:00 - 7:00 pm
Old New Gate Prison (115 Newgate Rd)
This event is free to attend, but we encourage everyone to bring non-perishable food items to support Friend to Friend Food Pantry.
Old New Gate Prison's “Light into the Dungeon” Jack O’Lantern Experience draws visitors from far and wide during the month of October, and you have the opportunity to see it for FREE while you're there for the Halloween Spooktacular!
We are giving away event spots through a lottery system. No physical tickets will be issued; attendee names will be on a check-in list at the event. If you are not selected in the lottery, you’re welcome to stop by the mine during the event to see if any walk-up spots are available. These are first come, first served, and availability is not guaranteed.
For a chance to guarantee your spot prior to the event, enter the Jack O'Lantern Experience Lottery before 10/22. Winners will be randomly selected at noon on 10/22 and notified via email.
If you have any questions regarding this FREE event or the FREE lottery, please email eastgranbyrecreation@gmail.com.
East Granby Parks & Recreation is accepting donations of candy for this event. Drop boxes can be found at East Granby Town Hall, East Granby Public Library, PeoplesBank, and on the back porch of the Sears House at East Granby Farms (the white house next to the road).
