The East Granby Youth Basketball program is designed to provide a positive recreational basketball program for youths in grades 3-8. The goals of the program are to instruct the players the rules of the game,  develop  individual skills, foster teamwork, learn good sportsmanship and to have FUN.

Games are scheduled for Saturdays and practices are held once a week.   Cancelled games are not rescheduled.

3rd & 4th grade teams: play against East Granby and Granby teams.
5th & 6th grade teams:  play against East Granby and Granby teams and nearby towns (girls)
7th & 8th grade teams:  play against East Granby and Granby teams and nearby towns.

White-soled indoor gym sneakers are mandatory; jewelry of any kind is not allowed during practice and games; including newly pierced earrings.

Register before Friday, November 10, 2017! 
(If space is available after the 10th you may register but a $20 late fee will be charged).

This program is dependent on volunteer coaches.  PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME!

General Information
  • Practice will begin in December.
  • Games will be available and begin in January 2018.
  • Cancelled games are not rescheduled.
  • Cancellations will be announced on the following radio and TV stations: WTIC-1080, WFSB, WVIT, or call the recreation office at 860-653-7660 for a recorded announcement.
